Skill Level Program

The Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced skills classes are designed for skaters of all ages and abilities.  The skills learned in these classes will prepare skaters to advance to the competitive artistic and hockey programs.  Recreational skaters will also find that mastery of the skills at this level will increase their enjoyment of roller sports.

Beginner Skills Class:   Saturdays at 10 am
This class will cover the basics of skating.  Forward and backward skating, standing, stopping, and safety will be emphasized.  A ribbon will be awarded for skill mastery.

Intermediate Skills Class:  Saturdays at 9:30 am
This class will focus on skills requiring greater balance and coordination.  One foot skating, cross overs, and turning will be emphasized.  A ribbon will be awarded for skill mastery.

Advanced Skills Class:  Saturdays at 9 am
This class will focus on advanced skating skills.  Spread eagles, backward crosses, and basic jumps will be emphasized.  A ribbon will be awarded for skill mastery.

Gold Medal Program

The Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal lesson is designed for skaters who would like to increase their skills in figure skating, jumping or spinning.  The skaters will have an opportunity to be judged at this level if they desire.

Bronze Level Lesson:  Saturdays at 10 am
This class will cover the figures in the second achievement test.  All upright spin edges wil be taught.  The mapes, salchow, waltz, and mohawk jump will also be taught.  A bronze medal will be awarded for skill mastery.

Silver Level Lesson:  Saturdays at 9:30 am
This class will cover the figures in the third achievement test.  All sit spin edges wil be taught.  The flip and lutz jump will also be taught.  A silver medal will be awarded for skill mastery.

Gold Level Lesson:  Saturdays at 9 am
This class will cover the figures in the fourth achievement test.  All camel spin edges wil be taught.  Skaters will learn a beginning travel spin.  The loop and axel jump will also be taught.  A gold medal will be awarded for skill mastery.

Fee

The fee for the Skill Level Classes and the Gold Medal Lessons is $6 per class, per month or $7 per class, per week.  Includes skates if needed and the 10:30am-12:30pm public skating session. 

We encourage all skaters to sign up monthly so that you can increase your skating ability at a faster pace.  No pre-paid lessons can be made up if you are absent, however, you may prorate your fees at the beginning of the month if you know you will be absent.
